How do I draft a determination with de-identification controls?

The trigger

The inputs

• Source documents: treating practitioner report, incapacity certificates, employer correspondence, claim history.

The steps

1. Save a clearly marked working copy of each source document, leaving the originals untouched in the case management system.
2. Run the five-category sweep from the de-identification toolkit with Find and Replace, then visually scan for leakage in signature blocks and filenames.
3. Frame the question: name the section 14 test and any section 5A administrative action or section 5B considerations the facts raise.
4. Paste the working copy with the first prompt into the approved tool to generate a skeleton with the outcome line blank.
5. Map the draft against the claim file line by line, confirming each assertion has a source document, then edit with placeholders intact.
6. Run the evidence-check pass over the edited draft with the second prompt and resolve every gap it lists.
7. Re-identify at the final write step inside the case management system, then apply the legal test, write the outcome and sign as delegate.

The output

A signed section 14 determination whose reasoning and outcome are the delegate's, with the file note and redacted working copy retained as evidence of the control.
