Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect information when you visit TheAICommand, subscribe to the newsletter, or use our free tools.

Last updated: 19 April 2026

Who we are

TheAICommand (the Site) is operated as an independent publication based in New South Wales, Australia. There is no company or ABN at this stage, and all site content and newsletter subscriptions are free. This policy will be updated if the operator changes (for example, if the Site is transferred to an Australian company). You can contact us at hello@theaicommand.com.

What we collect

We collect only what is needed to run the Site, deliver the newsletter, and improve the content:

  • Email address (and optional first name) when you subscribe to TheAICommand Brief, handled by Beehiiv (our email provider).
  • Anonymous analytics about how the Site is used. This is collected by Vercel Analytics (cookieless by default) and, where consent is given, Google Analytics 4.
  • Server logs: standard request information (IP address, user-agent, timestamp, URL) kept for a short period for security and debugging by our hosting provider, Vercel.
  • Voluntary messages you send us by email.

We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive information (financial information, health information, information about claims, or client data). Please do not send claim files, personal data about others, or any sensitive information to us.

How we use it

We use the information above to: (a) send you the newsletter you subscribed to; (b) understand which articles are useful so we can write more of them; (c) keep the Site stable and secure; and (d) respond to your emails. We do not sell your information. We do not use your personal information to train AI models.

Third-party processors

The Site relies on the following service providers, who act as data processors:

  • Beehiiv (newsletter delivery and subscriber management)
  • Vercel (hosting and cookieless analytics)
  • Google Analytics 4 (loaded only with consent, see our Cookie Settings)

Some of these processors are based outside Australia, including in the United States. By using the Site, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in those jurisdictions under the processors' own privacy frameworks.

Cookies and consent

We use the minimum number of cookies needed to run the Site. Full details, categories, and opt-out paths are on our Cookie Settings page. Analytics cookies that could identify you (such as GA4) will be loaded only if you give consent, once a consent banner is deployed.

Your rights

You can at any time: (a) unsubscribe from the newsletter using the unsubscribe link in any email; (b) ask us what information we hold about you; (c) ask us to correct or delete your information; or (d) raise a privacy complaint. Email hello@theaicommand.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Children

The Site is intended for adult professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Retention

Newsletter subscriber information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months. Server logs are kept for a short period and then discarded.

Security

We rely on the security of our hosting and email processors. No online service is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the OAIC as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if the Site, its processors, or Australian privacy law change meaningfully. The Last updated date at the top of the page will change accordingly. For substantial changes affecting subscribers, we will include a note in the next issue of the newsletter.
